ABOUT OUR BLENDS

So much more than CBD !

We don't like describing our products as "CBD oils" but rather use the phrasing "hemp blends". Why ? Because CBD is only one of the molecules you will find in our oils ! Our hemp blends are made using full spectrum extracts of different hemp cultivars.

CBD is one of hundreds of molecules naturally produced by the hemp plant, Cannabis Sativa L. There are over 100 cannabinoids (including CBD) and over 200 terpenes (the volatile molecules that give plants and herbs their smell and taste). Each of these molecules has unique properties, and together they work in synergy to improve our wellbeing. This synergic effect is what some call "the entourage effect".

In each of our blends, you'll find CBD but also other cannabinoids (CBG, CBC, CBDV, CBDa and CBN) and terpenes, that are the most adapted to your specific needs.

We use different hemp cultivars/varieties

Each hemp variety naturally produces different types and quantities of active molecules (cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids). At Hummies, we work with a producer (Sophron) that has developed an rare expertise in cultivating hemp varieties that deliver diverse compositions, thus allowing us to create truly unique oils.

Our blends are specifically adapted to your needs

Our oils combine natural full spectrum extracts of different hemp varieties, chosen specifically for the molecules they produce and their benefits. This is what makes our oils potent from the very first drop.

The CBD used in our oils comes from different varieties, because its entourage (the other molecules present with it) is different and more or less adapted to a specific needs (sleep, stress, pain).

Cannabinoids are naturally occurring molecules in the hemp plant that interact with endocannabinoid receptors within the human body to general a variety of effects on the nervous system and the brain. There are over a hundred cannabinoids (CBD, THC, CBC, CBDa, CBG...) naturally present in different quantities in different varieties of hemp. And each of these molecules produces specific effets and benefits.
